7-6-2020 — Kryder’s Mowers, Blowers and Growers has moved from 3614 Cassopolis to 1611 W. Bristol Street in Elkhart. The family-owned outdoor power equipment store opened up in their new location on July 1. Kryder’s Mowers, Blowers and Growers leased the 8,467 SF retail building after deciding to consolidate from two buildings at their previous location into just one at the Bristol location. FM Stone’s Sharon Welsh and Bill Kuhns assisted in lease negotiations with the landlord, Winding River Investments LLC.

Clark Logistics Buys 603 Industrial Parkway Building in Elkhart

12-14-2018 — Clark Logistics Group is the new owner of the 150,980 SF industrial building at 603 Industrial Parkway in Elkhart. Clark Logistics warehouses and ships products for local manufacturing firms. The company has multiple large warehouses in both northern Indiana and southern Michigan along with a large semi trailer storage operation. Brent Miller, SIOR, represented the building’s seller (Zhisu Indiana LLC) and Bill Kuhns, SIOR, represented Clark Logistics Group.

Bristol Transportation Center Expanding at US 20 & SR 15

10-27-2018 — Bristol Transportation Center is expanding in the Bristol area. The company purchased the 9,282 SF two-building industrial complex at 18536 and 18582 US 20 to expand its existing semi repair business next door. The 1.62-acre property is situated on the southwest corner of US 20 and CR 15. The company plans to lease out the corner building in the near future. Bill Kuhns, SIOR, assisted in the sale.

Classics on 23 Opens in Granger

10-4-2018 — Darin Hurn plans to sell classic cars from the former Granger location of Fred’s Transmission at 14887 & 14911 SR 23 in Granger. Hurn purchased the Granger property from Fred’s Shops and has just opened Classics on 23 on the site. The property consists of a 7,300 SF auto service center and a 1,260 SF office building on 1.44 acres. Both State Farm and Progressive Insurance currently lease suites in the office building. FM Stone’s Richard Hobson and Bill Kuhns, SIOR, were involved with the transaction.

Truma Expands in Elkhart

4-17-2018 -- Truma is expanding in Elkhart. The system supplier of heaters, air conditioning systems, hot water generators, maneuvering assistants and gas supply for the recreational vehicles industry purchased 5.04 acres at 13 Harman Drive in Elkhart. The 69-year-old company plans to build its permanent North American headquarters at this site along County Road 6, near County Road 17. The new headquarters is expected to be open in the fall of 2018 and will feature state-of-the-art offices, a warehouse and a customer service center for RV owners. Truma, which gets its name from former president Harry S. Truman, first came to Elkhart in 2013.
